Rabbi Hirsch says in his commentary on the Twelve Prophets, “Micah sees Israel in its priestly mission to the rest of the world. He sees the whole nation—Judah and the Kingdom of Israel—united to form the whole House of Israel, as they were meant to be and which he seeks to save. He hopes to bring them back to the height of their mission, the priesthood of mankind.” A united Israel can lead a wandering world to God. Let’s see what Micah can teach us today!
