This week we begin our study of the prophet Zephaniah—a short but powerful book that reminds us both of the sobering reality of God’s judgment and the beautiful hope of His restoration. Zephaniah doesn’t pull any punches: he confronts complacency, idolatry, and false security. But the story doesn’t end with wrath. It ends with one of the most moving promises in all Scripture: “The LORD your God is in your midst… He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you by His love, He will exult over you with loud singing” (Zeph. 3:17).
