In this year’s Beha’alotcha teaching, David asks the question, “Is it inevitable that when God raises us up, we have to fall? How do we avoid falling from that high place?” A second main topic is how we can approach the mid-journey “doldrums.” Additional topics include the two 7-month journeys in the year, what the inverted letter nuns have to do with “chutzpah,” and the menorah as a training tool for reflecting God’s light.
