Hi from South africa (at Restoration Fellowship in George).
Please suggest a good translation of the Bible.
The most accurate is The Concordant Literal Translation. But, among the mass-market translations, I prefer the New American Standard Bible (NASB), provided it has the cross-references that include the literal translation of ‘problematic’ words. (ALWAYS go with the literal translation of these words!). The edition of the NASB that I normally use is “The New Inductive Study Bible” (Harvest House Pub.). If you are studying Torah, then Artscroll’s “Stone Chumash” is a great resource. (But, even it has a few biases that sneak into the translation.) For the Apostolic Scriptures, I really like David Bentley Hart’s “The New Testament”. Very refreshing! But, again, the most accurate is the Concordant. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much for taking so much time to answer my question.
