Titus 1

Join Beth Tikkun as we begin a study of the book of Titus. We start the first chapter by asking, “Who are the elect, and why did God select them?” We also take a closer look at the Greek words often translated “arrogant” and “rebuke.” Finally, we examine the intentions of the group Paul calls the “circumcision party,” and we review some key passages that teach salvation for Gentiles, 1st century prejudice against Gentiles, and Paul’s familiarity with and use of Gentile popular culture as he reaches out to the Gentiles.

Would you please spell or provide a link to “Lazato”. I have not been able to locate any information on him even though I have attempted it with different spellings!

    Thank you.

Ann, Moshe Chaim Luzzatto (1707-1746) lived in Italy but moved to Israel the last year of his life and is buried in Tiberias. Luzzatto (also known as the Ramchal) was a Torah genius and the author of the book Derech Hashem (The Way of God). There are several editions of this available, but Feldheim Publishers provide two editions in various formats. They are all excellent, but the “elucidated” edition contains a wealth of extra commentary, footnotes and an improved translation. Hope this helps!
