In this continuation of the Torah Project, we finish our look at Laban, focusing on how Laban is the Bible’s model image of a “fool.” After exploring Laban’s foolish characteristics in chapter 31, we dip into the book of Proverbs which has much to say on the matter. We end the topic with the question, “What purpose do foolish people serve in our lives?” Moving beyond Laban, we then ask the question, “Why did Rachel steal Laban’s idols?”
