Ephesians 2

As we open up Ephesians 2 this week, we define two more critically important terms: “church” and “aion/olam,” variously translated as “world,” or “age,” or “eternity.” Moving on, we explore a key difference between humanity and the animals. Next, we suggest an important tweak to the common understanding of “salvation by grace through faith.” Finally, we tackle the difficult phrasing of verses 14-15, providing several ways to understand the breaking down of the dividing wall between Jew and Gentile and the abolishing of the enmity of the law; in the process, we define the term “law.”

    Shalom Grant,
I would like to make a request that when you come to the end of each study that you continue with your prayer and the benediction. I might not be the only person, but I sense that there might be other people that are listening that could benefit from this. I thank you for each, and every one of these studies, notes, and teachings. They are a great delight and are so very helpful. I am not saying that you hit right on the mark, but you do come close just about every time.

    Shalom, In Messiah,
    Roberto

Roberto, Thank you for your suggestion. I was unaware that the closing prayer was not being recorded, so I have asked the tech. team to include it with each recording. Thanks again, Roberto!
