Genesis 41b
We continue Joseph’s incredible story in this Torah Project teaching, furthering our list of Messianic parallels seen in Joseph’s life story. We begin with a verse that establishes a turning point in Joseph’s life that points to Messiah’s return after 2 thousand years of physical absence. Moving on to yet another pair of dreams (Pharaoh’s), we stand back and look at an underlying structure in all 3 pairs of dreams thus far encountered in the story. Finally, we find a model in Pharaoh’s receptiveness to Joseph’s leading, emphasizing the vital truth behind the phrase “only in the throne I will be greater than you,” (41:40).
