Join Beth Tikkun as we continue our study of the Haftarah portions for the 2013-14 Torah cycle. In this study we compare Moses’ Song of the Sea (Exodus 15) with the Song of Deborah (Judges 5). Theses two songs of praise are unique in that they are written in an unusual format in Hebrew scrolls. Only one other passage of Scripture shares this distinction. We consider how praise of God can be pure or flawed and look at examples of this in the Song of Deborah.
