In this year’s parsha Vayechi teaching, we dig into a couple of peculiarities of the text, including a verse regarding the death of Rachel and a description of Joseph from Jacob’s blessing of his twelve sons. Particularly with this second passage, we see both the difficulties of translating from the Hebrew, and we see the light of Messiah shining through the spiritual Word.
