1 Corinthians 8 & 9: Living a Selfless Life

In looking at the text of 1 Corinthians chapters 8 & 9, we admire Paul’s ability to be flexible and gracious for the sake of the gospel, giving up his own rights when necessary to win over all kinds of people. We also learn more about dietary issues facing 1st century Believers, we look at the intermediary role of Messiah (including a brief touch upon the topic of His divinity), and we review the biblical use of the word “conscience,” emphasizing again the great blessing in training ourselves to always maintain the higher perspective of God’s sovereignty.
