Balak 2022

In this week’s Torah portion, Balak, we see how God can use a spiritual man of low character to bless His people. We also review what we’ve learned from past teachings, make connections between Yeshua’s donkey and Balaam’s donkey, and consider how seeing and listening lead to doing.

Thank you, Tim. Very rich. Good to be reminded that a curse has no effect on those blessed by God — and to think that Israel was unaware of the story going on around their blessed tents. So is the purpose of this long (biblically speaking) story meant to explain how it came about that Israel succumbed to the snare that Moab laid out for them? — a snare that appealed to some unrecognized lust in their hearts? that was as offensive as the lust for money in Balaam?
You gave us much to ponder.
