Haf. Bechuchotai (Jeremiah 16:19-17:14)

Join Beth Tikkun as we continue our study of the Haftarah portions for the 2013-14 Torah cycle. In this study we compare Jeremiah’s descriptions of the ‘cursed man’ and the ‘blessed man’. Most important of all, we analyze the often misunderstood verse (Jer.17:9) about the condition of the human heart. Is it truly ‘desperately wicked’ as the King James Version claims? We finish with a consideration of what Yeshua may have written in the dirt when the adulterous woman was brought to Him.
